Deborah Paisner, Hide and Seek Dolls, oil, 16 x 12.

“I have a passion for creative challenges. I try to learn something new from each painting, to make the next one more masterly, to capture more light, and to express my inspiration more clearly. Lately, I have alternated between oil painting still life and plein air painting New Mexico landscapes, with a few figurative works in between. I aim to keep myself and the viewer amused."

Bouquet, oil, 20 x 16.

Deborah Paisner has been oil painting since January 2000, after relocating to Santa Fe, NM from Northern California. After oil painting only two years, in 2002 Deborah was accepted into her first art gallery in Santa Fe. Since then, over the years Deborah has been accepted into juried art shows, and has won awards. Although since 2007, Deborah stopped practicing occupational therapy to focus on creating art, in 2018 Deborah formally retired in good standing from occupational therapy. Currently Deborah's oil paintings can be purchased or commissions arranged to create custom paintings at either Patrician Design or St. James Tearoom in Albuquerque.

Deborah continues to enjoy honing her art skill, and has profited creatively and technically from her studies with several local artists, including Anita Louise West, Wendy Higgins, Cynthia Rowland, Kevin Gorges, Cary Ennis, Lee Rommel, Jeanette Dryden, Judith D’Agostino, and Roger Williams.
