Rio Grande Gorge Bridge
On US 65, about 12 miles NW of Taos
The steel bridge stretches across the Rio Grande Gorge, 650 feet above the river (the third highest in the US). Many park on the
side to take photos and to stare down at the dizzy depth.

Drive north on State Road 522 to turquoise sign, turn off well-maintained dirt road on the right that winds into the mountains for four and a half miles.

Lawrence's ashes are mixed into the cement of a small
shrine. UNM owns the ranch and maintains it as a scholarly retreat.
